"Art Inspired Song" Young Artist ConcertNSU Museum of Art Fort Lauderdale

This unique concert experience was specially programmed to give audience members a sense of the culture of an era by experiencing the music and visual art that was created during that time.
The recital will be built around two of the museum’s exhibits: Café Dolly (Picabia, Schnabel, Willumsen) and American Scene Photography (Martin Z. Margulies Collection). Members of FGO's Young Artist Program will perform pieces that reflect the essence of the artwork in these exhibits, and pieces that were composed around the same time that the visual artwork was originally created.

Read Along, Sing A Song engages children and families with interactive sessions that combine reading with playing instruments, dancing or singing at important parts of the story, making reading all the more fun!

Florida Grand Opera will host an opening night celebration on the stage of the Adrienne Arsht Center immediately following that evening's production of Madama Butterfly.
Guests will enjoy cocktails and hors d'oeuvres, from 10:00-10:30pm followed by a sumptuous three course dinner caterer by the Arsht Center’s new in house caterer Ovations Food Services. Guests will be joined by the principal artists from Madama Butterfly, including Kelly Kaduce (Cio-Cio-San/Madama Butterfly), Martin Nusspaumer (Lt. Pinkerton), Todd Thomas (Sharpless), and other members of the cast and creative team.
Tickets are $250 per person and can be ordered online through Florida Grand Opera’s website. Tickets can also be purchased by contacting Andrea Gartner at agartner@fgo.org or by calling 305.403.3317.

This annual fair held in the Garden features local artisans selling botanically themed and plant-derived wares such as body scrubs, candles, handmade paper, flowers and more.
